Electric Thunder Storms

Now returning home in economy was not great, I am not used to sitting in Row 1 and drinking Champagne and back to reality is not nice. I push my way down the aisle almost sobbing as I reach my seat and find that my new neighbour is not only sitting in their own seat but also in the one next to me. Jabba the hut takes on a new life. I realise not everyone can help being overweight and believe me I am no thin skeleton, but this was ridiculous. Jabba was having trouble breathing, could not get the seat belt to fit even with an extension. As soon as we took off Jabba was snoring but as soon as the curly sandwich trolley arrived the eyelids flicked open and I swear to god the crusty edges were gone in a second and I was hanging to dear life that Jabba would not devour me. I was elated to arrive in my transfer destination and to have not missed the flight. The flight although delayed by almost two hours was most enjoyable and I sat next to baby doctor, she was really cool and we chatted all the way home about her job and mine. Actually I, as always did most of the chatting as she was frightened of flying, bless her, so I told her all about my new collection and the fact that I am so excited to now have seen the new Ostrich skin bags for SS2010 in patte green, sun flower yellow and petal pink. They look awesome, I am sure I bored the pants off her but at least she did not see the lightening spark out of the window and I still have some feeling in my left hand where she squeezed it so tight. I had visions of having to explain why I cannot design anything from this day forward due to the fact that a baby doctor had broken all my fingers.. I promised to send her mum one of our new mini handbag key rings so that she can show all her friends that she knew a famous designer – well almost. I was voted designer of the day, did I ever mention that? Ok I know I am boring and harping on but it was a big deal for me anyway. check out our website http:/izzibag.com and come and visit us at Pure.

It’s not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on.

well yesterday at 2am I was driving to Heathrow airport actually thinking what was I doing at stupid o’clock in a car instead of tucked up in my lovely feather bed. Well believe it or not I travel so much and always last minute and the only seat available was in Business class. What a way to go I have to say. There I was at 6am being offered Champagne,  now what is a girl to do and is it not considered impolite to say no? well ok I could have said no but I didn’t. So then a beautiful breakfast arrived all on a nice white linen table cloth,  to cap it all and believe me I was not sure if I was suppose to bob down on my ankles or shake his hand or touch my forelock, I sat next to a Lord, when I say sat next to take this as a loose term, in business class you actually do not sit next to anyone. I now realise why I have to pay so much to sit normally in economy over the wing  and end up shouting ‘sorry speak up I cannot hear you’ for a week having had the engine roaring in my ears for the whole journey. Anyway my point being he was not having the same breakfast as me and now I was thinking why did I not get a choice, I have already forgotten that normally I am lucky if they throw me a banana skin or curly sandwich, but no I am now used to this and I want to know why I did not get a steak offered to me at 6am? really that is what he had.  I was not about to admit I would have thrown up if someone had put a greasy giant slab of cow in front of me at 6am. I leave you with that picture and sorry now got to go must press the bell for the lovely man to bring me another glass of that incredible bubbly stuff. Oh I forgot to say, it is too hot here and I want to be in the UK where the clouds are dull, everyone is pasty white and I can stand in the queue for the metro without frying. See you later today am off to the airport for my curly sandwich, back to reality.

Thought for the day came from the really nice Lord I sat next to on the plane, I hope my confused look on my face did not let him see that I was not sure why he told me this but after all he is a Lord and who am I to question it? if any of you know any Lords or in fact would happen to be a Lord could you let me know if there was a reason at 30,000 feet he was telling me this. I blame the slab of beef myself.
