Well where else would you go to relaunch the UK branch of the FGI (Fashion Group International)? well we chose Stewart Parvin’s beautiful show room in Motcomb Street, Knightsbridge. I have to say we were very honored that Stewart agreed to host the party for us. I in turn was also honored to be made Chairman (Regional Director) of the UK.
The night got off to a flying start with everyone tipping up on time, when in fashion does that ever happen? so I was so proud that during all the doom and gloom of the financial climate we live in together with the horrid wet night so many people came to the event. Guests included, Maurice Mullen from the BFC and Evening Standard Group, Eric Musgrave from the UK Fashion and Textile Assoc. Lesley Exley, Tony Glenville from the London College of Fashion, Jackie Hutchings from Footdown, Carol Spencer from Style Directions, Elizabeth Ash from KPMG, Stylisa fashion stylist to the stars, Royal fashion watcher Michael Talboys, James Dixon who is about to embark on a charity ride around the USA to raise money for the homeless to name but a few.
