From Deep Fried Poached Eggs to Udder Cream

So this weekend Izzi and I decided it was time to get acquainted with the local establishments…if you get my drift, so on Sunday we did some research into where was the best place to go for Brunch…and YELP said ‘Go to Amanda’s in Hoboken. So as it was a fine sunny day we thought walking 2.5 miles was a great way to build up an appetite, phew that was really being ermm silly. No sun tan lotion, no hat and off we set, by the time we got to the end of the street I was feeling the heat. We plodded on along the board walk between NewPort and Hoboken and it was really a lovely walk and so relaxing, but so, so hot.

By the time we reached Amanda’s I felt like I earned my bloody Mary, well certainly the second one! The reason we chose this restaurant was because they served deep fried poached eggs, yes get your head around that one cos I surely can’t. I actually ordered the Crab Hash with poached eggs and izzi ordered the deep fried poached egg and we traded half and half and here is what it looked like.

Deep Fried Poached Egg

Obviously keep in mind if you go there, this is not the dish you will get as we have half of one and half of the other on this plate. The crab hash was totally scrummy, but the deep fried poached egg was sublime. Now as you all know I don’t eat carbs so where this little accompaniment came from I have no idea… Liar Liar pants on fire, nose sticks out like a telephone wire.

Buttery Scones and Cherry Bread

We were so full after the eggs that we had to ask for a doggy bag for the Cherry Loaf and Buttery Scones. Of course the dog was never going to get anywhere near my Cherry Loaf or my Buttery Scone…Oh did I say that ROFL. This place is awesome and if you live anywhere near it you just have to go. Make sure you book as it got very busy.

By the time I got home my feet were killing me, wearing flippy floppies was not the right shoes for a 4 mile hike (there and back obviously) yes, I know 2.5 + 2.5 = 5 miles but we got the tram back part of the way. So I decided when I got home to have a soak in the bath and then try out some ‘Udderly Smooth’ Foot Cream that I had been sent as a gift.

I have to say when it came it took me a few moments to get with the name and the slogan ‘Udder Cream for Dry Skin’. Their Website says Look for the lotion with the black and white cow spots also saying it was originally developed for use on Dairy Cows.

Developed for use on Dairy Cows

Well  I have been sent this as a gift so I am going to try it, firstly it is not highly scented, which in fact in my book is a great plus because I am a huge Perfume freak and this is not going to interfere with my Eau de Perfume of the day.  The advert says this cream is going to soften rough and dry skin so I lathered it on to my tootsies and hands,  there was no grease left on my skin as it stated. It felt really good, both my hands and feet felt cared for again. I will definitely be buying this when my supply runs out and here is just how good my little tootsies looked like after my Udderly Smooth cream had taken effect.

DailyCandy.com editor, Kimberly Miller names Udderly Smooth R as must-have beauty product  and I totally agree with her…Go and buy it you will not be disappointed.
